Apple 3D screen for iPhone and iPad

PatentlyApple our colleagues have just submitted a new patent for a technology eye-tracking 3D, which may have a place in next iPhone or iPad from Apple! With this method described in patent filing, Apple could simply offer 3D rendering without having a particular screen, such as is the case with the Nintento 3DS.

This technology has surely not unknown, especially since it has been tested by French students at Grenoble in April (see video below). The eye-tracking technology focuses on eye movements of the user to change the perspective of the image projected on the screen of the iDevice. Depending on the angle of your eyes, the operating system of the tablet or the iPhone changes the visual display.

Some hackers (like our little Franchy mentioned above), have sometimes used the front camera of the device, or motion sensors. In the case of this patent filed by Apple, these are all the motion sensors (accelerometer, compass, gyroscope), and the photo sensor that are used at the same time! Suffice to say that with so many spatial cues, the machine must be able to give him very honest!
