A few weeks ago, the Chinese manufacturer of screens ProView Technology has won a lawsuit against Apple on the illegal use of the term "iPad"
To recap, Apple had paid the sum of € 41 000 in 2009 to buy the name "iPad", however, ProView Technology had obtained 10 years earlier the necessary rights to use the mark in China. ProView Technology may require 1.17 billion euros for violating intellectual property in China.
We learned today that the Chinese authorities have removed the iPad in some stores, while other retailers have removed from their windows while continuing to sell them.
If the seizure becomes official, it would be a disaster for Apple, which relies heavily on the country in full expansion.
