After the chip Apple A4, then A5, it would be logical that the new SoC (System on Chip) is called "Apple A6". Yet according to the Chinese site forum WeiPhone who shot the bullet, it would be known as Apple A5X.
The code "1146" on A5X indicates it was manufactured during the 46th week of 2011, which corresponds to the period of November 14-20.
A5X the name could simply be a temporary codename. For comparison, the processor had as number S5L8930X A4, A5 on its side S5L8940X. BGR had discovered earlier this month that the processor number of the new iPad was S5L8945X (read: iPad 3: equiped with 4G LTE)
Several other features are also visible on the image, including a pair of flash memory chips 16 GB Hynix brand and another Apple chip rectangular which would be used for energy management.
