Food Intolerance testing at a reduced cost for IAA members

A unique agreement between Irish Autism Action and Fitzwilliam FoodTEST Clinic has been put in place to ensure that parents of children with Autism, and indeed all children, have access to food intolerance testing. Mr. Martin Healy, Fitzwilliam FoodTEST Clinic will be doing these tests at the Solas Centre in Clontarf.

The test involves the collection of a small fingerprick sample of blood from the child. The sample then takes two weeks to process before results are available. The family then have an opportunity to discuss the results with a member of the Fitzwilliam FoodTEST Clinic.  The test is also available to members nationwide as a mail order service. Only a small fingerprick sample of blood is required to do the analysis (just like the fingerprick diabetic test).

For members who are unable to attend the centre in Dublin, a special blood collection kit will be posted to you. You could collect the sample yourself or your GP or community nurse could collect the small sample for you. You then post the sample to the clinic for analysis.

This agreement will provide access for those with Autism to food intolerance testing at a reduced cost, through Irish Autism Action.
