Students from Letterkenny IT organise fundraising events for IAA (with ouch factor!)

As part of a Learner Development module, 9 students from the Letterkenny Institute of Technology have organised a charity leg/chest wax and a treadmill marathon run to raise money for Irish Autism Action.

The chaity leg/chest wax will take place in the Swilly Inn, Letterkenny on the 24th of November.  The event will commence at 8pm.  The group will raise money through sponsor cards, selling wax strips and by going around with sponsor buckets on the night.  Promises to be a great night's craic with spot prizes to be won.  The Swilly Inn has also agreed to do a drink promotions on the night i.e. €3 pints and bottles.  There will also be live music from the band 'Super Tease' on the night.

The treadmill marathon run will take place in the main building of the Letterkenny Institute of Technology on Monday the 28th of November.  The event will take place throughout the day.  Group members will be going around with sponsorship buckets on the day.

Thanks to Cormac O'Brien and his class mates for organising the events.
