What is the RAM of New iPad 3?

The iPad 3 will be introduced by Apple in less than 12 hours in San Francisco. We already know - if all goes well - the new program: Retina display, 4G LTE, slightly thinner than the iPad 2 and a better processor.

Only two things remain to be determined, the iPad 3 (or iPad HD?) And RAM Memory. For RAM, you should always wait for the dismantling of the new devices by iFixit teams. This data can not be known with a disassembly, in fact Apple does not specify this information during the keynotes or on its website. But this year the events took place faster than expected.

In early February, BGR was posting images describing the data obtained with a debug tool. The aircraft was an advanced prototype of the iPad 3. But nobody paid attention to additional information hidden in the code. Chronic ago had a look and found that the RAM Memory was there. On his blog, it is the line "vm_page_bootstrap: 244276 free pages and 8396 wired pages."

With a calculation, he proves his words:

RAM : 244.276 (pages) x 4.096 bytes (page size) = 1,000,554,496 bytes = 1GB (rounded)
Pack is weighed: 1 GB RAM Memory for the iPad 3. QED.
