Android web browser is used more than iOS

The latest figures from a study conducted by StatCounter, the Android browser, operating system for smartphones created by Google, is the most used worldwide.

In February, it had a usage share of 22.67%. Thus, the browser passes Android Opera (which has 21.7% share of use), a browser that can be found on the iPhone, the phone of the Cupertino, and the androphones.

The Norwegian browser is now closely followed shortly by that offered by Apple on iOS, the operating system of the U.S. firm, with 21.06%. The latter has grown steadily since December 2011.

However, if the usage share of Safari (Apple's browser) from the iPod touch is taken into account, the software for the Apple brand takes the lead with just over 25%.

It should be noted that the statistics vary greatly from one country to another: in France, Safari leads with over 50%, the U.S., the market is dominated by Android, and Russia, Opera is who wins the prize.
